Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-IA) cosigns Kucinich bill 333 to Impeach Cheney

joe's picture
Iowa Representative Leonard Boswell quietly added his name as the 25th cosigner of House Resolution 333 on Valentine's Day, February 14th, joining the rising call for the impeachment of Vice President Richard B. Cheney.

Boswell is the first name added this year, as the most recent Representative to add her name was Wisconsin's Gwen Moore, who signed on December 19th.

Representative Boswell is a member of the powerful House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence - the primary committee in the U.S. House of Representatives charged with the oversight of the United States Intelligence Community.

Boswell's signing may be indicative of Congress beginning to shift in the direction of holding the Vice President and other Bush Administration officials more strictly accountable for the 935 lies documented by The Center for Public Integrity during their heavy push to war prior to the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

excellent! I just read another Oped about this by David Swanson
where he sites the poll already taken that shows the majority want Impeachment. Strangely he and Rob Kall have been asking for donations for another poll. For some reason they think that a new poll will finally force Conyers to act?

Okay, I just read this

Okay, I just read this comment at Democratic Underground. Looks like this guy is just desperate to save his seat from one of our peace candidates trying to oust him in the primary. On the bright side though, looks like the pressure is getting to him...

How dumb does he think we are?

Most of his votes were pro-war, anti Constitution and pro-Bush---when it came to
the neocon issues.

One vote--for impeachment that will NEVER, EVER happen--and they all damn well know it--is
an insult to the people in Boswell's district.

Count me as one of the people in Boswell's district who will support Ed Fallon--a true Progressive
who is running against Boswell.
